KStone Partners, based in New York, has named Maria Ricci as senior managing director and member of the firm. Ricci will focus on business development and on raising awareness of KStone's funds of hedge funds with family offices, individual investors and institutions. Her previous positions included institutional research sales at Bloomberg, director of institutional research sales at Instinet LLC, and assistant vice president at AllianceBernstein.
Baird has added industry veteran Parker Griffith to its Nashville, Tenn., wealth management office. Griffith will manage the office while serving clients as a financial advisor. Prior to joining Baird, Griffith served as a financial advisor and branch manager for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He began his career as a financial advisor with The Robinson-Humphrey Company.
Palmer Square Capital Management, along with Montage Investments and Atlantic Asset Management, has partnered with Geneva Arbitrage Fund L.P. Geneva invests in equity opportunities of companies that are engaged in corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions while simultaneously seeking to reduce portfolio risk through hedging. The agreement provides further diversification to Palmer Square's family of alternative investment managers.
Marsh Private Client Services has appointed Alice Cameron as its west zone leader and Susan Ott as the San Francisco office leader. Cameron has 22 years of insurance industry experience, most recently she was a vice president responsible for marketing and corporate communications at Fireman's Fund Insurance. With 25 years of experience, Ott previously led the personal insurance divisions dedicated to affluent individuals and family offices at both MacCorkle Insurance and Frank Crystal & Company.
Harris Private Bank earned a top five ranking in the 2012 Luxury Institute Wealth Management Survey. The survey polled 500 investors with a minimum net worth of $5 million for their thoughts on the quality, exclusivity, social status, and client experience of wealth management firms. More than 30 wealth management firms were examined in the survey.
