Citi Private Bank has hired Oscar Salem as director and foreign exchange investment specialist, based in New York. He will oversee Citi Private Bank's currency business in the Southwest region. Salem joins Citi from Krieger Capital Management in Houston, where he was head of investor relations.

 

BNY Mellon has hired the following five professionals to fill newly created positions in its wealth management business in Southern California: Tiffany Barbara, Bob Bernstein, Steven Mills, Grace Russak and Rehan Chaudhry.

Barbara is a senior portfolio manager based in the firm's Century City, Calif., office. Previously, she was a principal and senior client account manager at Bessemer Trust, where she oversaw a team of client account managers and assets totaling more than $1 billion.

Bernstein is a senior portfolio manager also based in Century City. He previously was chief investment officer of Four Corners Capital Management and was one of three managing principals who built a $4.5 billion asset management business.

Chaudhry is a senior director for business development and is based in Century City. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he served in progressively responsible positions with JP Morgan, culminating with responsibility for more than 50 high-net-worth client relationships.

Mills is a senior portfolio manager based in Newport Beach, R.I. Prior to joining the company, he was senior vice president and senior client account manager at Bessemer Trust, where he supervised non-profit and family relationships valued at more than $600 million.

Russak is a senior director for business development based in the company's Century City office. She previously served for 15 years with the Whittier Trust company, most recently as a senior vice president and director of the company's advisory services department and the art advisory services group.

 

Citi Private Bank's North America Asian Clients Group has expanded in three markets: New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Jane Bachmann joined the team as a director and ultra-high-net-worth private banker, based in San Francisco. Bachman joined from The Presidio Group, where she was a managing director and partner

Denise Yi joined the group as a vice president and ultra-high-net-worth private banker, based in Beverly Hills, Calif. Yi joined from HSBC, where she was a vice president and private banking relationship manager.

Diana Ding joined the group as a vice president and associate banker, based in New York. Ding joined from Citi's institutional clients group, where she was most recently a senior associate and lead North America equity index strategist.
