Financial advisor Mark Orgel has formed an independent registered investment advisory, Orgel Wealth Management, with $4 billion in assets and has chosen Pershing Advisor Solutions as the firm's custodian.

Orgel's firm filed this month with the Securities and Exchange Commission for SEC registration as a fee-only RIA. Previously, Orgel's practice was affillated with RBC Wealth Management. He has been a financial advisor for many years and has been named to Barron's list of top advisors in each of the last six years.

Orgel's new RIA is employee-owned and includes a 23-person team of senior advisors and customer service professionals at Orgel serve individual investors, trusts, foundations, retirement plans, and corporations.

“We've created this firm around service, education and, perhaps most importantly, generational continuity, so that Orgel Wealth Management can continue to serve the needs of our clients and their families well into the future, long after my colleagues and I have retired or moved on."

Orgel said he chose Pershing Advisor Solutions, a BNY Mellon company, as custodian for the Altoona, Wis.-based RIA because of its extensive custody and clearing services. Pershing offers high-level technology and service, a full-service platform and lending solutions, he said.
