Lori Hardwick has been named chief operating officer for Pershing LLC, a BNY Mellon company and provider of global financial business solutions, Pershing announced Wednesday.

The appointment is effective Feb. 29. Hardwick succeeds Lisa Dolly, who was recently appointed Pershing’s CEO.

“This is an exciting development for BNY Mellon. The recent appointments of Lisa as CEO and Lori as COO of Pershing are the outcome of a thoughtful succession planning process, as well as a thorough market search. It is also a testament to the knowledge, experience and track record of success that both Lisa and Lori have demonstrated throughout their careers,” says Brian Shea, BNY Mellon vice chairman and CEO Investment Services.

“At BNY Mellon, we are committed to attracting and developing top talent, and we are proud to have two extraordinary women assuming these executive roles. Their leadership will further strengthen the Pershing team and its ability to support our clients' success," he adds.

Hardwick joins Pershing from Envestnet where she served in a variety of roles managing its enterprise, sales, services, advisor orientation and on-boarding divisions. She most recently served as the company’s group president of advisory services, overseeing all of its enterprise relationship management, institutional and global advisory sales, strategic partnerships, and practice management programs.

Prior to joining Envestnet, Hardwick served as regional vice president at Nuveen Investments, cultivating relationships with independent advisors spanning 10 states in the Midwest. She also was responsible for founding Nuveen Investment Advisor Services, where she developed a program specifically targeted to RIAs.
