Kimberly Sterling, president of Orlando-based Resource Consulting Group, has been elected president of the Zero Alpha Group, an international network of fee-only advisory firms.

Founded in 1995, the Zero Alpha Group includes independent fee-only firms that manage more than $5 billion in assets. Members are committed to providing objective, long-term wealth management solutions to investors, focusing on life planning and financial peace of mind.

Sterling has been a fee-only investment advisor since 1998. She is also a CPA and worked for 20 years in the public accounting field with high-net-worth individuals and closely-held corporations. Sterling ihas served as president of the Downtown Orlando Partnership and the Central Florida Estate Planning Council.

Sterling's tenure as president will begin January 2010 and will continue through 2012.
