Cassar said he's actually seen two weddings cancelled just before the couples were supposed to get married on account of disagreements over prenuptial agreements. In both instances, they were second marriages, and the men, both of whom were business owners, didn't want to lose their shirts so they required their future wives to sign prenuptials. The wives refused so the men walked.

"They guys had more money, but the girls couldn't come to terms with this thing. They were looking at what they were going to get X years out, and the guys wouldn't give in," Cassar said.
