Richard Rossi and Cooper Abbott have been named co-chief executive officers of Raymond James subsidiary Eagle Asset Management of St. Petersburg, Fla. This follows the announcement that Richard Riess, executive vice president and CEO, will retire at the end of the year after more than 35 years of service to the firm.

Rossi has served as president and co-chief operating officer of Eagle and Abbott has served as executive vice president and co-chief operating officer of Eagle since 2009. Additionally, Rossi and Abbott will also assume any additional responsibilities held by Riess with respect to his position as CEO of Eagle.
