A $300 million advisor team from from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's office in Coral Gables, Fla., has joined Raymond James & Associates, company officials disclosed today.

Financial advisors Vann Ashley Wilder Sr. and Van R. Martin of The Gables Legacy Group generated more than $1 million in annual fees and commissions while at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, according to Raymond James. They are joined by Maria G. Wilder, the firm's senior registered client service associate and operations specialist.

A 38-year industry veteran, Vann Wilder is a portfolio manager and wealth management specialist. He began his career at Reynolds in 1974 and joined Smith Barney in 1981. He is Series 7, 63, 3, 65 and 66 licensed and holds a life, health and variable insurance license.

Martin is a wealth management specialist with more than 10 years of industry experience. He began his career with PFS Investments, joining Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2009.

Wilder has more than 20 years of financial services experience. She is life, health and variable insurance licensed and is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor.

The Gables Legacy Group specializes in financial planning and asset management for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Raymond James Financial, based in St. Petersburg, Fla., is a broker-dealer with more than 6,000 financial advisors serving over 2 million accounts in more than 2,500 locations throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas. Total client assets exceed $375 billion, of which about $40 billion are managed by the firm's asset management subsidiaries.
