Charles Schwab Corp. has launched Schwab Intelligent Technologies, a new business division to improve workflow in the offices of registered investment advisors, company officials announced Wednesday.

One task of the new division will be integrate Salesforce.com, Junxure and Microsoft -- popular client relationship management applications -- with Schwab systems in an open architecture technology platform.

"We believe that the right technology can fundamentally transform an advisor's business," said Bernie Clark, executive vice president and head of Schwab Advisor Services. "Schwab Intelligent Technologies will deliver the next generation of technology integration with leading providers, to improve advisor productivity, and further demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the advisor industry."

Brian Shenson, Schwab's managing director of advisor service technology, said the goal of Schwab's system is to produce an integrated solution for financial advisors that is "intuitive and easy to use."

An advisor office using Schwab's Intelligent Integration system, says Shenson, will be able to instantly access a client's account in real time to see cash balances, recent account transactions, and holdings in that account.
