The Securities and Exchange Commission announced Thursday a series of regional, in-person only, compliance seminars for investment advisor and investment company executives to be held in Miami New York, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia and Los Angeles this year.

Pre-registration for the events is required at least a week before the sessions and they will not be webcast. Staffers from the SEC’s Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations and from the Investment Management and Enforcement divisions will speak at the sessions and be available to answer questions.

The first of the sessions will be held in Miami on June 10 from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. The seminar focuses on dual registrants, cybersecurity and other issues. To register, click on http://1.usa.gov/1dxcR7P.

A New York seminar on June 18 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be on cybersecurity and include information for private fund advisors on fees and expenses and other compliance concerns. To register, click on http://1.usa.gov/1JDZlg4.

In Denver, on July 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., SEC staffers will give presentations and answer questions on the custody of customer funds and issues related to private funds.
