Jim Lammers of Lammers & Peters Wealth Plan in Omaha, Neb., has been named national president of the Society of Financial Services Professionals (FSP). Lammers is a registered representative of Securities America and an investment advisor representative of Securities America Advisors.

Lammers, a 25-year member of FSP, served on the society’s national board of directors and as a past president of the society’s Omaha Chapter. He also was a 2003 winner of the Paul S. Mills Scholarship, awarded annually to society members who have demonstrated a strong commitment to ethical business practices, professional education and volunteerism.

Founded in 1928, the Society of Financial Service Professionals is the standard bearer for excellence in professionalism, advanced continuing education and ethical guidance for financial advisors. The society has approximately 14,000 members.
