Reynders says his company is engaging some clients who feel they were misinfomed by their previous financial advisers-"broken clients," he calls them-and now want above all else not to be caught unawares by another ugly surprise. "The message we're getting from clients who feel they were blindsided is, 'Help me be comfortable with, and give me an understanding of, what it is I own.'"
