The Social Investment Forum has changed its name to US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment.

The group, formerly the Social Investment Forum, is a U.S. membership organization that represents professionals, firms, institutions and others engaged in sustainable and responsible investing. The group announced the name change at its conference in Washington, D.C., June 13, which featured former Vice President Al Gore as its keynote speaker.

US SIF CEO Lisa Woll said the new name reflects an important evolution."The socially responsible and sustainable investing space has shifted considerably over the past 20 plus years since the organization was founded," she said. "Additionally, the Social Investment Forum's work and membership advanced significantly in that time, reflecting our status as an increasingly diverse and multi-faceted organization."
