Studios are feeling a serious pinch. Marc Palotay, an executive at NBC Universal Inc. was quoted in the trade publication Tax Notes as saying during a recent speech that his studio has changed its pay practices, and that key people it works with could potentially be hit by 409A problems. Palotay declined to comment.
