Symetra Names Vice President of Marketing

Symetra has named John Rafferty vice president of marketing for the company’s retirement division. He will help drive sales of Symetra’s retirement products through multiple distribution channels via targeted marketing campaigns. Previously, Rafferty served as vice president of independent distribution marketing at American General Life Insurance Company. Prior to American General, his roles included over 20 years of combined experience in annuity marketing at MassMutual Financial Group and Aetna Life Insurance & Annuity Company.

Symetra Life Insurance Company, based in Bellevue, Wash., provides employee benefits, annuities and life insurance through a national network of benefit consultants, financial institutions, and independent agents and advisors.
