The Richmond, Va.-based investment manager has made several leadership changes.

Horace Whitworth will become sole chief executive officer. He has been with the firm for 28 years and currently serves as co-CEO. Whitworth will lead many of the firm’s teams, including operations, compliance, risk management, accounting, finance and high-net-worth client service.

Lawrence Gibson, a 14-year veteran of the firm, is stepping down as co-CEO but will continue to serve as chairman.

Frank Reichel has been appointed president. He currently serves as a portfolio manager and chief investment officer. A 14-year veteran of the firm, Reichel will continue to serve as co-portfolio manager of the TS&W Small Cap Value and Small/Mid Cap Value strategies.

Brett Hawkins will succeed Reichel as chief investment officer. He also will continue as co-portfolio manager of the TS&W Small/Mid Cap Value strategy and as portfolio manager of the TS&W Mid Cap Value strategy.

Founded in 1969, Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley manages domestic and international equity, fixed-income and alternative strategies for institutional, sub-advisory and high-net-worth clients. As of August 31, the firm had approximately $11 billion in assets under management.
