Chip Roame, founder of Tiburon Strategic Advisors, has been elected to serve on Edelman Financial Group's board of directors.

Roame founded Tiburon Strategic Advisors in 1998. The firm provides market research and strategic consultation services to financial institutions and venture capital and private equity firms. It is also known for its semi-annual CEO summits and conferences. Prior to Tiburon, Roame was a business strategist at The Charles Schwab Corporation and worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company.

“Chip’s pulse on the financial services industry is unequalled and he will be a strong addition to our board,” said Edelman Financial CEO Ric Edelman. “His perspective, strategic thinking and strong business relationships will be of great value to us as we continue our rapid growth.”

Roame joins board chairman George Ball and board members Ed Moore, Edelman Financial Services president and COO, and Thomas Lee, Mark Gormley, Benjamin Hochberg and Daniel Rodriguez of private equity firm Lee Equity Partners.
