Laird Cagan has been appointed chair of Tiger 21's San Francisco chapter.

Cagan is managing director and co-founder of Cagan McAfee Capital Partners (CMCP). Since 2002, CMCP has founded, funded and taken public 10 companies in a variety of industries with a focus on energy, alternative renewable energy and cleantech.

Cagan Capital, a private investment firm he founded in 1990, invested in and helped build 15 high tech companies with over $500 million of equity capital invested in those companies.

He also previously worked in mergers and acquisitions for Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Drexel Burnham Lambert.

Tiger 21 groups meet monthly allowing members to exchange investment ideas and share personal experiences on a broad range of wealth-related issues. Informational sessions for prospective San Francisco members will be held in January.
