Veteran trust and estate planning and tax professionals Joseph V. Falanga and Sharon H. Goodman have joined New York-based UHY Advisors, company officials said today.

Falanga and Goodman will expand UHY Advisors' core service offerings to include trust and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, families and foundations, according to the firm. Goodman will also consult with private foundation clients on compliance, planning and governance needs.

Falanga and Goodman have been working together as a team for nearly 20 years, starting at Goldstein Golub Kessler LLP and continuing through their most recent tenure at Schonbraun McCann Group, which was acquired by FTI Consulting

Falanga will also represent UHY Advisors on the lecture circuit, including before the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council on March 15. He has authored numerous articles in professional journals, and is past-president of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils.

Goodman has more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer, specializing in estate planning and estate tax, gift tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax compliance areas. She has written extensively on these subjects in professional publications. She is a member of the New York Tax Study Group, and currently sits on the board of directors of the New York City Estate Planning Council.
