United Planner Financial Services ended 2013 with the best recruiting results in its 25-year history.

The independent broker-dealer partnership increased its financial advisor rep force by 6 percent, to more than 350 advisors nationwide, and its revenue by 13 percent for the year.

The annual production of the top 20 percent of advisors increased by 18 percent, according to the firm.

New advisors cite the firm’s culture, structure and technology as the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company's biggest draws.

"I enjoy consulting with advisors and finding ways to help them improve upon the services and offerings to their clients, while creating efficiencies that offer scale so they can grow and be more cost effective," said Sheila Cuffari-Agasi, vice president of partner development at United Planners.
