Pearce Saunders Murray Wealth Management, an advisory team from Morgan Stanley with $160 million under management, has become part of the Washington Wealth Management platform.

Pearce Saunders Murray is made up of three former Morgan Stanley advisors: Janet Pearce and Bradley Saunders, co-founders and managing partners, and Krista Murray, managing partner. Pearce Saunders Murray will retain its name and occupy a new office opened up by Washington Wealth in Brea, Calif.

The team has $160 million in assets under management, according to Washington Wealth, which announced the  today.

Washington Wealth Management is a hybrid registered investment advisor made up of independent teams of advisors in eight offices around the country with the Brea office being the newest. The wealth management firm was created by former wirehouse advisors to set up or recruit independent teams of advisors. It has recruited firms with a total of $1 billion in assets under management, after starting with $100 million in 2011.

The new office enables Washington Wealth to expand its Southern California presence, says David Richman, Washington Wealth Management’s market area director for Southern California.
