Washington Wealth Management LLC has recruited California Wealth Transitions and Overlake Partners to its platform, raising its AUM to $1 billion, officials announced today.

When completed at the end of the year, the partnerships will mean San Diego-based Washington Wealth Management will increase its assets under management by 900 percent from December 2011, officials said. WWM is an independent hybrid registered investment advisor (RIA) supporting fee and commission-based independent advisor teams across the nation.

Bellevue, Wash.-based Overlake Partners is an independent financial advisory practice and is managed by John Wilbourne, a principal and an 18-year veteran who previously worked at Wells Fargo Advisors.

San Diego-based California Wealth Traditions includes former wirehouse advisors who provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to clients.

"We are delighted that both California Wealth Transitions and Overlake Partners have chosen to partner with us,” Rob Bartenstein, CEO of WWM, said in a statement. “Each group is singularly unique, comprised of driven, successful professionals who share our vision of the value our firm can add to independent financial advisor teams.”
