Wilmington Trust has expanded its corporate trust business with three hires. Julie Balerna, Clay Cardozo and Deb Daniello have joined the firm’s Boston office. The three most recently worked as a team at BNY Mellon.

Balerna will manage sales and business development for the global capital markets group in the New England region. She will cover both corporate and public finance markets, including municipal, higher education, housing and health care. For the past decade she worked as vice president of business development for BNY Mellon’s corporate trust division. Balerna also worked at U.S. Bank and State Street Bank in similar roles.

Cardozo joins Wilmington Trust as a regional manager for the global capital markets group. He will be responsible for managing relationships, planning, strategy, product development and risk management for the New England market. With BNY Mellon for the previous 18 years, Cardozo most recently served as vice president and senior relationship manager for the Northeast region.

Daniello has been hired as a senior relationship manager in the global capital markets group and will be responsible for growing and maintaining business with corporate trust and escrow clients in the region. She has over 20 years of corporate trust experience and was previously employed by BNY Mellon as vice president and senior transaction manager.
