Ali Motamed is the founder and managing partner of Invenomic Capital Management. Motamed has 16 years of industry experience, including most recently at Boston Partners, where he won the Morningstar’s Liquid Alternatives Portfolio Manager of the Year award and was instrumental in designing the firm’s Long/Short strategies. According to Morningstar, during his tenure, the fund delivered the best returns in the liquid alternatives universe. Invenomic will be launching two capacity constrained Long/Short strategies in 2017 in conjunction with a distribution partner. He received a B.A. in economics from UCLA and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is a CFA charterholder.
