Christensen Wealth Advisory Group, a four-member team led by Jeremy Christensen, has joined the branch channel at Ameriprise Financial Inc., the company said in a news release.
The Edina, Minn.-based Midwestern practice, which also includes financial advisors Bruce Olson and Anthony Tsakakis, and registered client service associate Cheryl Larsen, was formerly with Wells Fargo, where the team managed more than $250 million in assets for a national clientele.
Christensen said in the news release that he and his associates decided to look for a new partner two years ago. They began their search by assessing market options and evaluating many firms. After performing their due diligence, Christensen and his team decided to switch to Ameriprise.
“The firm delivered what we were looking for, which is a harmonious environment that allows us to do business with clients the way we want to and has extensive support and resources to help us be successful,” he said in the news release.
Christensen said that he and his team felt Ameriprise could offer them solid values, strong brand recognition, robust financial planning capabilities, and a wide investment platform. Just as important, their new partner could also provide cutting-edge practice management tools and systems to create cost efficiencies.
