A former Merrill Lynch team managing about $2 billion in assets has joined RBC Wealth Management’s new branch in Lake Forest, Ill., according to a news release from the company.

The Paulson Holman Gatto Group, which specializes in financial planning and asset management for wealthy retirees, includes Thomas A. Paulson, managing director and financial advisor, who has 33 years of experience; William “Tuck” Holman, managing director and financial advisor, who has 26 years of experience; and Steven E. Gatto, senior vice president and financial advisor, who has 19 years of experience. All three advisors spent several years at Morgan Stanley before moving to Merrill Lynch in 2008, according to their BrokerCheck profiles.

The team also includes Charles S. O’Neil, associate vice president and senior financial associate; Nadine E. Haufe, associate vice president and senior financial associate; Kristie A. Manheim, associate vice president and senior financial associate; Cynthia Mariscal, senior registered client associate; and Abra Alscher, client associate.
