A Merrill Lynch team that managed about $350 million in client assets has joined Raymond James & Associates' employee advisor channel in St. Petersburg, Fla., according to a release from the company.
The team, which includes Tim Gross, Leslie Gross and Mike Brown, will operate as Sherman, Gross & Brown Wealth Management of Raymond James. They will be joined by Jamila Kravarusic, a registered service associate.
Tim Gross, who had been in the financial services industry for 23 years at Merrill Lynch, said his team was attracted to the advisor-centric culture Raymond James offers. “It’s refreshing and impressive to see how senior leadership and various levels of management are so open and mindful of advisors and what we need to best serve our clients,” he said in a statement. Leslie Gross joined Merrill Lynch in 2000 and Brown in 1995.
Doug Brigman, senior vice president, investments, and Tampa Bay complex manager for Raymond James Financial, said the team brings a combined 68 years in financial services experience to Raymond James. “They make up a landmark team with great integrity that upholds the firm’s shared value of operating with a client-first approach,” he said.
Raymond James & Associates Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Services Inc., which has about 8,100 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas, and a total of $828 billion in client assets.
