A longtime Edward Jones advisor who handled $500 million in client assets has exited the firm to join Raymond James Financial Services’ independent advisor channel in Texas, according to a news release today from Raymond James.
Russell Riggan, who had been with Edward Jones since he entered the industry in 2005, operates Talent Financial Services in Snyder, Texas. He is joined by Kali Pinson, client services director, and Rachel Rodriguez, client concierge. The team serves a variety of clients including families, small-business owners, corporate executives, farmers and ranchers, retirees and nonprofit organizations, the press release said.
Riggan said he was drawn to the robust platform of services, products and support offered by Raymond James.
“The technology is intuitive and customizable, accommodating both simple and extremely complex planning scenarios, which makes it even easier for us to do business," he said in a prepared statement. "The ability to self-brand in a manner that aligns with our team and the people we serve was an important factor in our decision to move as well.”
Parent company Raymond James Financial Inc. employs about 8,400 financial advisors who manage $1.17 trillion in client assets worldwide.
