What does your firm do/offer within the fintech sector?
FMG Suite serves registered investment advisors, financial advisors, and even insurance professionals––none of whom have the time or resources to be effective marketers. Many fail to do even the basics like posting to social media regularly or sending emails to their client or prospect lists. That is a travesty in 2020. Social media and email are the most cost-effective ways for a professional to consistently engage their audience. FMG Suite solves that problem.

First, we design and build professional, modern websites––the advisor’s marketing hub. Then, with the world’s largest library of FINRA-compliant content, our platform automatically posts to Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook and sends out engaging and timely emails to their entire network––bringing clients, prospects, and referral sources back to the advisor’s website to engage. In addition, our AI-engine scours thousands of sources like Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, and Golf Digest to let the advisor easily share content that aligns with their professional and personal interests. What has been the biggest success in your firm to date?
We have been very fortunate to become the largest provider of marketing automation to independent financial advisors. We have done that through our own efforts, as well as through acquisition, having made six acquisitions in just the last three years. Despite the dramatic growth, we have been able to maintain a strong team culture based on having fun, being humble, and inspiring each other. In fact, our latest eNPS results are a +72, which is an amazing score for any company, let alone one that has assimilated several different cultures in a relatively short period of time. It is an honor to lead such a dynamic organization.

I would also add that the team has especially risen to the occasion over the past four months with the onset of the pandemic and related market volatility. While our team went fully remote, it also revved our content engine to start producing new content almost daily to help our advisors hold their clients’ hands through the challenging times. As a result, we saw our average email sends skyrocket more than six-fold in March and April. 

How do you feel consumers (or if more relevant for your firm – businesses) are adapting to the facet of fintech that your company operates within?
The pandemic has shown that marketing is business-critical for professionals seeking to retain their clients and grow their businesses during turbulent times. Clients can get asset allocation from a robot in today’s world. To compete, advisors must regularly engage with their clients, but they have to figure out a way to do that at scale if they hope to achieve significant growth. That’s where email, social media, client events, and direct mail come into play. The advisors who can create a sense of community and build strong relationships at scale will ultimately win the growth game in the future.
