Five advisors with roughly $280 million of client assets have moved from San Diego-based Cetera Financial Group to Good Life Financial Advisors, an LPL Financial-affiliated RIA based in Reading, Pa., that’s part of Good Life’s nationwide network of more than 200 financial practices representing more than $10 billion in aggregate assets.
The advisors come from three different firms that were all part of Cetera’s nationwide network. They will share an office in Sewickley, Pa., near Pittsburgh.
“We are proud to welcome [these advisors] to our Good Life community,” said Conor Delaney, founder and CEO of Good Life, in a press release. “Our support model is designed to help them in their roles as fiduciaries and as CEOs of their small businesses.”
In addition to Good Life’s own network, it is part of LPL, which has roughly $1 trillion under management (and is also headquartered in San Diego).
The advisors will continue to maintain three distinct and independent practices, the press release explained, each serving “a unique client segment.” But they will share resources to help them “productively manage their small businesses,” it said.
“As independent advisors, we all really like what we do,” said Karen Bostick of Transitions Wealth Management, an RIA she co-founded in 2014, in the statement. Her firm primarily serves individuals and small business owners with financial and transition planning.
Good Life, she continued, understands “that every advisor and every business is different, and they meet challenges head on. We value accountability and expect that from our partners as well. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead for our business.”
Advisor John Sinclair II of Sewickley Wealth Management, a 20-year veteran of the industry, added that becoming part of LPL is ideal to “launch the next chapter of my career in wealth management.” He also praised Good Life’s “supported independence model,” which he said will help “streamline access to the resources and support needed to grow my business and better serve my clients."
The three other advisors joining Good Life are with Compass Wealth Management—James Greno Jr., Anthony Harris, and Robert Quarture III. "By joining Good Life and LPL Financial, we are part of a network that prioritizes making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families across the country,” said Harris in the press release.
Advisors, said Delaney, need the “infrastructure and resources to serve the growing demand for personalized advice. They also need access to guidance and resources as business owners to be able to build what will likely become their greatest asset.”
As a vital resource providing support of all sorts, he said, Good Life is a “thought partner” and “activator” that will help its members “tap into the possibilities.”
