Financial advisors Lauren Salas and Jan Klein, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., have joined the branch channel of Ameriprise Financial Inc., the company said.
Salas, Klein and registered client service associate Ashley Leopold were formerly affiliated with Morgan Stanley, where they managed about $154 million in client assets.
The team’s decision to switch partners from Morgan Stanley to Ameriprise was through word of mouth. In 2022, a trusted friend suggested that Salas and Klein consider joining Ameriprise. After a visit to the company’s headquarters in Minneapolis, the two advisors agreed with their friend – Ameriprise was the right fit for their team and their clients.
“Leaders took the time to get to know us and our practice,” Salas said in a news release.
She also said that it was clear to both her and Klein that they would not be just a number at Ameriprise, but a valued team of financial professionals.
Klein said in the release that the corporate culture at Ameriprise was an eye-opener for both practice partners.
“We were blown away by the welcoming culture at Ameriprise,” she said in the release. “We were impressed by every person we met, top to bottom. Now that we’re a few weeks into our transition, we can confidently say that everything we were told is true. Leaders, corporate employees, and fellow advisors all truly seem to care and take the time to support us. We’ve never experienced anything quite like it before.”
According to Ameriprise National Women’s Recruiting Director Timari Robison, her firm actively seeks to nurture teams led by women advisors so they can achieve their full potential, too.
