Albion Financial Group, which was founded in 1982 and bills itself as an early proponent of the advisor industry’s fee-only model, has promoted Liz Bernhard to the position of president, the company announced in a news release.

Co-founder John Bird will continue to serve as CEO of the firm, the news release said.

Bernhard joined the company in 2009 as an associate wealth advisor, and was promoted to senior wealth advisor in 2011. She received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado–Boulder, and a M.B.A. degree in financial planning and services from Westminster College.
