Damon B. Joyner is joining American Portfolios Financial Services Inc. as chief financial officer, the firm announced recently.
Joyner is replacing Mark Manzi, who will remain with the firm as a consultant. American Portfolios is an independent broker-dealer that services advisors across the country.
In 2013, Joyner was promoted to head the privately owned firm Sterne, Agee & Leach Inc. and Sterne Agee Clearing Inc. located in Birmingham, Ala. In his role as president and CEO of the companies, he negotiated the sale of both to INTL FCStone in July of 2016.
