Ameriprise Financial has added four advisors to its employee channel with $295 million in combined client assets, the company announced in a news release.

Ross Perkins joins Ameriprise in Carmel, Ind., from UBS with a $135 million book of business, while Thomas Rodman, Maureen Cioppi-Grill, and Paul Teufel of Rodman, Grill & Associates in Conshohocken, Penn., join Ameriprise separately from Morgan Stanley with $160 million in assets.

According to all four advisors, Ameriprise's high-touch support and cutting-edge technology in delivering client support drove their decision-making.

“I wanted a place I felt I could spend the rest of my career…and Ameriprise felt like that firm,” said Perkins. “I now have a support system in place that allows me to integrate new technology into my practice.”

Perkins will be supported by Ameriprise branch manager Jeff Hodges.

Rodman said that for him and his team, the capabilities and efficiency offered by Ameriprise's scale were key in making the decision to switch from Morgan Stanley.

“We knew Ameriprise was the right firm for us because of their longstanding commitment to clients and reliable technology capabilities that are critical as we’re meeting with more clients virtually due to the pandemic,” he said in the news release. “With Ameriprise’s technology, we’ve been able to be more efficient with our time while maintaining the strong client relationships that we’ve had for decades.”

Rodman, Grill & Associates is supported by Ameriprise branch manager Mike Hartnett.
