Atlanta-based firm BIP Wealth named Kathi Ray as its chief operating officer and Samantha Phillips as its chief financial officer, the company announced Tuesday.
BIP Wealth, formerly known as Buckhead Investment Partners, is a fee-based registered investment advisory based in Atlanta, Ga. With 12 advisors, the firm services investors with more than $1 million in investable assets and manages more than $850 million in assets.
BIP Wealth promoted Ray to COO from vice president. The company says its investment assets under management grew and Ray played a big part in that growth. Previously, Ray managed operations and strategic initiatives for Herndon Capital Management.
The RIA hired Samantha Phillips, a certified public accountant with 25 years of experience, as a further result of its recent growth. Phillips joins from the tech start-up Sales Wise, where she also served as the CFO.
