Blyth & Associates Financial Services in Chicago has joined LPL Financial’s broker-dealer and corporate registered investment advisor platforms, the companies announced today.
Blyth & Associates formerly was with Securities America, where the firm managed approximately $350 million in brokerage and advisory assets.
Twin brothers William Blyth and Robert Blyth, an estate attorney, co-founded the firm in 1994 as a joint practice to serve their clients' financial and tax needs. The business has grown to include the Blyths’ cousin, operations manager Michael O’Malley. The team also includes financial advisors Carla Nitz and Christopher Fudacz, with operations support from Moira Simeti, Rebecca Ahern and Andrew Nitz.
In a news release, Bill Blyth, president of Blyth & Associates, said he and his brother joined LPL for its size, financial strength and commitment to delivering innovative, integrated technology.
“LPL is a good partner in this environment, especially with the recent market volatility," Blyth said. "After looking around the industry, we believe LPL is ahead of the curve, and my entire team is excited about the enhanced digital efficiencies that will free us up to spend more time with our clients.”
LPL Financial is the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer.
