Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz is known for being on the cutting edge -- in crypto, of course, and on topics like psychedelic medicine, the metaverse -- and now, the art of turning tattoos into non-fungible tokens.
Late Wednesday night, Novogratz tweeted that he will be meeting with a tattoo artist on Friday about turning her work into NFTs, and she may give him a tattoo. He bravely asked the twitterverse for suggestions.
I’m feeling a tattoo urge coming. meeting a bad ass artist on friday to talk about turning her craft into NFTs. She said she would ink me. What should I get?

Ideas thus far include a “supernova blockchain heroes” tat; Bitcoin (sorry, he already has one); a Cardano logo; a suggested Satoshi Nakamoto symbol; Yakuza cats; a snarky suggestion to have the tattoo artist tattoo some hair on his head; a “to the moon” tattoo (he also has one) and art merging Bitcoin and mushrooms since “after all, Bitcoin is the mycelium of money Mushroom.”
One person even suggested a little financial engineering, proposing that Novogratz fractionalize the future tattoo in an NFT even though the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has indicated its going to step up crypto regulation. That would be “the cost of being a pioneer.”
