CFA Institute, the global association of investment professionals based in New York City, has named Steven Hendry, a 20-year veteran of the financial industry, as its chief financial officer, the organization announced Wednesday,

Hendry will lead the efforts to oversee finance operations at the organization. He previously served as interim CFO and, before that, as global controller of CFA Institute.

Hendry has held roles at Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank and Perpetual, where he led regional and global teams across Europe, Asia Pacific and the United States. His career covers financial control, reporting and analysis, finance transformation, strategic financial planning, strategic change programs to improve efficiencies and transparency, and oversight of audit and regulatory initiatives.
