eMoney Launches New Client Visualization Feature Called ‘My Plan’
Radnor, Pa.-based eMoney Advisor has a new offering called “My Plan” that helps advisors better engage with their clients by providing a way to visualize client financial plans. The new feature, which is included as a tab in the platform’s client portal, lets advisors illustrate their client’s plan in a personalized way. Advisors can organize it through different topics, including a general overview, by income, by balance sheet, by retirement plans or other topics, according to the firm.
The feature gives end clients significant control over how they see their plan, letting them change their goals and add new ones. It’s designed to foster more and better conversations between advisors and clients.
FLX Networks Enhances Due Diligence Feature
Bernardsville, N.J.-based FLX Networks, an online platform where wealth and asset managers can share data, investment products and other tools, has launched a new enhancement designed to streamline the due diligence process for firms.
When advisors seek an asset management firm and investment vehicles to work with for their clients’ portfolios, it can be a daunting task. The FLX Diligence Center eliminates that by taking all the data asset management that firms submit and inputting it into a centralized location where advisors can look at them. FLX members can sort through multiple firms at once. By storing the information in one place, it takes less time for advisors to find a firm to work with, according to FLX.
Envestnet Expands Capabilities For Wealthy Advisors
Berwyn, Pa.-based financial technology firm Envestnet said it’s expanding its national distribution efforts within its Private Wealth Consulting business. To help advisors, the Envestnet Advisor Sales and Wealth Consulting team is offering technology tools that attract and retain high-net-worth clients, the firm said. “With more advisors considering ways to incorporate greater customization within their [high-net-worth client] portfolios, Envestnet is enhancing its product and technology offering with solutions like direct indexing and tax overlay capabilities,” and these will “help advisors better personalize their portfolio management services,” the firm said in a press release. “To deliver these custom solutions, the expanded distribution team can offer white glove, private wealth consulting for accounts over $1 million, designed to meet an individual investor’s specific needs.”
Moneytree Unveils Innovative Financial Planning Tool
Moneytree Software, a financial planning technology provider based in Muncie, Ind., has launched a tool to help advisors in their interactions with clients.
The tool offers goals and cash-flow-based planning modules that meet clients’ needs regardless of where they are in their financial journey. There are also interactive, client-centric reporting tools advisors can use to help act on concepts, according to the firm.
Advisors will also have access to specialized planning tools that will save them time and money, helping them establish deeper relationships with clients. Finally, the firm said it is including a transparent audit trail—so advisors can visually demonstrate how they reached their conclusions—as well as advanced analytics that encourage client collaboration and drive better decision-making.
AssetMark Launches Morningstar Strategies For Advisors
AssetMark has rolled out Morningstar Wealth, a series of investing insights offered by Morningstar.
Through this launch, the Concord, Calif.-based firm’s advisors can access a variety of model portfolios and separately managed accounts from the Morningstar Investment Management team. It will include a suite of Morningstar Wealth strategies, including Morningstar Equity separately managed accounts, Morningstar exchange-traded fund models, and Morningstar active/passive models.
The separately managed accounts include seven strategies that cover various market capitalizations within the U.S. and internationally. They are built for long-term growth. The ETFs include diversified core portfolios focused on growth, income, and risk alignment, investing primarily in diversified portfolios of domestic and international ETFs.
Finally, the third group offers flexible strategies across different risk tolerances and tax sensitivities while balancing active and passive investments, according to the firm.
FP Alpha Announces Estate Lab Enhancements For Sunsetting Tax Law
FP Alpha, a New York-based financial planning technology company, announced a series of upgrades to its Estate Lab offering. The changes will help advisors illustrate the effects clients will see on their estate plans when provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act sunset at the end of 2025.
FP Alpha has added an asset projection function that helps advisors customize the growth rates per asset and project balances over time, so clients can visualize the impact asset growth can have on their estate tax liabilities. That can show clients how to minimize the impact if the tax law sunsets.
