The Ensemble Practice, a Seattle-based business consulting firm for the financial advisory industry, has created two annual scholarships for its leadership training program, the G2 Leadership Institute, the company announced today.
The company said the initiative aims to improve diversity within the industry's leadership ranks by eliminating financial barriers to participation in the two-year development program.
The G2 Leadership Institute is a management and leadership training program for financial advisors that marries a comprehensive curriculum with hands-on experience and cross-firm collaboration. Founded by CEO Philip Palaveev six years ago, the program has brought together 218 professionals from 126 firms.
Many of the most recognizable company names in the industry have enrolled their future leaders in the institute, The Ensemble Practice said in a news release. It noted that graduates of the program have gone on to assume leadership positions throughout the industry.
“There are so many talented people from underrepresented groups who could be contributing to the future of the advisory industry and who deserve the opportunity to take the stage and become leaders in their firms,” Palaveev said in a prepared statement. “By broadening access to our G2 Leadership Institute, with its comprehensive curriculum and hands-on training, we hope to contribute to the careers of advisors from underrepresented groups.”
