“As another example, approximately 1.2 billion people in the world do not have power, so sustainable power companies and the equipment they need present an opportunity,” he added.

There is still some risk involved in investing in emerging markets, just as there is in investing in developed markets, the three acknowledged. However, “times are changing,” Harrison said. “Human rights infractions can be detected quickly and data on all ESG and impact issues from third-party sources is improving because investors are demanding it.”
