LPL Financial has brought a longtime Osaic firm from Cincinnati with $800 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement assets to join its broker-dealer, RIA and custodial platforms.

Dougherty, Tedesco & Associates was founded in the early 1980s by Charlotte Dougherty, who began her career in 1978 with Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, according to BrokerCheck. She moved to Osaic in 1981. The firm is led by Andrew Tedesco and John Dougherty III, who both began their careers with Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and have been with Osaic for more than two decades.

The firm, which offers a comprehensive range of wealth advisory services, primarily to a client base of corporate executives, engineers and medical practitioners, also includes registered sales assistant John Dougherty Jr., director of client services; Caitlin Ackerman; and support staff members Rita Anno and Ben Verchick.

“Our mission is to lead clients to a more secure financial future, supporting them step by step through life's various stages,” said John Dougherty III in a statement. “We take a team approach to providing customized strategies as we explore every avenue to help optimize the client's success,” he added.

Tedesco said the team looks forward to leveraging LPL’s “robust platform” so that their clients will have more holistic and tailored experiences. “LPL's comprehensive platform, advanced technology and substantial resources will give us more flexibility to respond to the diverse needs of our client base. Additionally, LPL’s size, strength and commitment to innovation align with our own values and aspirations for growth,” he said.
