RBC Wealth Management has recruited a former Merrill Lynch advisor with $285 million in client assets to its Marin County office in California, according to a news release.

Kuosen Fung, senior vice president, had been with Merrill Lynch since 1997. He began his career with Mclaughlin, Piven, Vogel Securities Inc. in 1991 and moved to Old Discount Corporation in 1993 before joining Merrill Lynch, according to BrokerCheck.

“What attracted me to RBC Wealth Management was the firm’s commitment to delivering superior client service, and the fierce focus on advisor/client relationships,” Fung said in a statement. “RBC’s financial strength and stability combined with premier capital markets and investment banking capabilities were also key factors in my decision."

Michael Schipper, RBC’s Northern California Complex director, said, “Kuosen is an incredibly talented financial advisor who constantly strives to deliver top-tier service to his clients. We are thrilled he chose RBC Wealth Management.”

Founded in 1909, RBC Wealth Management (U.S.) has $508 billion in total client assets with more than 2,100 financial advisors operating in 184 locations in 42 states.
