Raymond James has added a veteran California advisor who managed more than $200 million in client assets at Morgan Stanley to the firm’s independent advisor channel.
In a press release, Raymond James said Kevin L. Mize, along with client service associate Sebastian Henshaw, have joined Raymond James Financial Services, operating as Earthrise Financial.
Mize’s Scotts Valley, Calif., operation provides “forward-thinking, comprehensive wealth management to clients ranging from business owners and multi-generational families to churches and charitable foundations,” according to the release. Mize, who has worked in financial services for 37 years, became affiliated with the Raymond James channel in May.
“As independent firms are gaining market share in financial services, I want to be on the ascending side of the industry, not the descending side,” said Mize, who serves as his firm's managing director. “Raymond James’ respect for independence has allowed me to bring more personality to my business, which is essential for serving the unique cultures of Santa Cruz and Silicon Valley.”
