Gatewood Wealth Solutions, based in St. Louis, has joined LPL Financial’s broker-dealer and corporate registered investment advisor (RIA) platforms, according to a news release.
Founded by John Gatewood in 1981, Gatewood Wealth was formerly with Northwestern Mutual, where the 13-member team managed $550 million in brokerage and advisory assets.
The firm’s five financial advisors - Daniel Goeddel, Brian McGeehon, Christina Shockley and Aaron Tuttle - serve high-net-worth clients, executives, business owners and emerging affluent families with the assistance of portfolio managers, financial planners and office support staff. The firm assigns a four-member team to each client family to ensure that their financial plan is on track, efficient and relevant, founder John Gatewood said in the news release. He said that through the team approach, each client plan benefits from a broad range of disciplines and perspectives.
“The hallmark of our culture is our commitment to not simply answer questions, but to find clear solutions that lead to better outcomes for our clients,” he said.
Gatewood said his firm turned to LPL Financial for its integrated technology, which he said will enhance the team’s relationships with clients and support its vision for managing their wealth. He also said that the LPL partnership positions the firm for future growth and success as the team plans acquisitions, advisor recruitment and professional development opportunities within the next year.
“We intentionally built the firm to support future generations,” Gatewood said. “With the new affiliation with LPL Financial, advisors Daniel Goeddel, Brian McGeehon, Christina Shockley and Aaron Tuttle received ownership in the business. Our team of young business owners helps assure clients that we’re here for the long haul.”
Rich Steinmeier, LPL Financial managing director and divisional president, Business Development, praised the Gatewood Wealth strategy for growth, which he said his firm would help achieve.
“We are proud the team recognized that our ability to invest in their business as a differentiator in the marketplace,” he said in the news release. “Our independent advisors have access to capital, expertise and solutions that can fuel their growth.”
LPL Financial, headquartered in Boston, San Diego, and Ft. Mill, S.C., is the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer.
