New York City-based alternative investments platform iCapital Network announced today it will acquire the assets of alternatives education and compliance platform AI Insight.
The acquisition will bring AI Insight’s training, research and compliance support for private capital, hedge funds, non-traded REITs, businesss development companies and alternative mutual funds to iCapital’s platform enabling advisors to bring the various alternatives opportunities further down market for their clients.
“The growing interest in alternative investments and a regulatory environment expanding access to these opportunities are heightening the demand for in-depth and accessible education and compliance support,” said Lawrence Calcano, chairman and CEO of iCapital Network, in released comments. “The acquisition of AI Insight supports our ongoing mission to equip independent advisors with comprehensive education and resources to ensure they are fully versed in the complexities of these funds and how they are best integrated in client portfolios.”
Ten AI Insight employees, including Sherri Cooke, president and CEO, and Jennifer Simon, COO, will join iCapital’s team.
No additional details of the transaction were reported in the announcement.
