The Investment Management Consultants Association is rebranding itself as the “Investments & Wealth Institute” and adding new educational and technological services, the institute announced Tuesday.

The institute trains advisors to assist investors and wealthy clients and offers the Certified Investment Management Analyst and Certified Private Wealth Advisor designations. Requirements for the two designations will not change.

The Yale School of Management is expanding its work with the institute and will offer an online Certified Private Wealth Advisor certification program beginning early next year. The training focuses on advisors working with high-net-worth clients.

The institute also has acquired the Retirement Management Advisor designation to enhance its existing education offerings with the curriculum for retirement income planning and retirement management. Over the next two years, the institute plans to enhance the curriculum and faculty for the designation.

The institute is also making an investment in technology with a new website, www.investmentsandwealth.org, that will be launched in November; the installation of a new Online Learning Center; and a refocused site for investors, www.InvestmentHelp.org.
