Janney Montgomery Scott LLC announced on Monday it hired seven advisors from the wirehouse ranks: six from Morgan Stanley and one from Merrill Lynch.

Four of the former Morgan Stanley advisors will work in Janney's branch office in Greenville, Del. That group consists of Edward J. Duffy, Jr., first vice president/wealth management, as well as members of The Tidwell Group at Morgan Stanley including Daniel D. Tidwell, senior vice president/wealth management; Jeffrey D. Tidwell, financial advisor; Nicholas E. Shevland, financial advisor; and their associate, Nancy Carmean, senior registered private client assistant.

The other two ex-Morgan Stanley advisors are Colleen MacKenzie-Doino, now senior vice president/wealth management at Janney's branch office in Melville, N.Y., and Victoria (Tory) Ricker, vice president/investments in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The former Merrill advisor, Matthew J. Cramer, is now first vice president/wealth management at Janney's Williamsport, Pa. branch office.

In aggregate, this group has combined client assets under advisement of more than $400 million and production that exceeds $3.3 million.

“These additions are a testament to Janney’s successful year of growth in locations spanning the entire east coast,” said Jerome Lombard, Jr., the president of Janney Private Client Group, in a statement.
