LPL Financial has appointed Julian Lopez to the position of executive vice president of Independent Advisor Services Relationship Management, effective February 21, the company said today.

Lopez succeeds Angela Xavier, who served in the role since 2019. She will now help the company’s new Client Success, Innovation and Delivery team in its efforts to ensure the long-term loyalty and satisfaction of LPL advisors and institutions.

In his new role, Lopez is responsible for building and leading sustainable and systematic strategies for deepening relationships with LPL’s independent advisors, and empowering them to be successful. He is based in College Station, Tex., and reports to Matt Enyedi, LPL Financial managing director, Client Success.

“Julian is a seasoned leader with a successful track record of building solid relationships with advisors and offering them the support they need to build their businesses,” Enyedi said in a prepared statement. “He has a passion to fuel the sustained success and satisfaction of our clients, and we couldn’t be more proud to welcome him to LPL.”

An industry veteran with over two decades of experience, Lopez most recently served as managing director of the Relationship Management team at Charles Schwab, where he has held several leadership positions. Prior to joining Schwab, Lopez worked in Business Development at CyberTrader.

Lopez received a bachelor’s degree from St. Edwards University and an Executive M.B.A. degree from Texas A&M.

In a news release announcing his appointment with LPL, Lopez said he was thrilled to join the company and a team that has the exclusive focus of servicing the financial advisor community.

“That client-centric approach offers a unique value proposition within the marketplace,” he said. “I look forward to helping deliver on LPL’s mission to take care of advisors so they can take care of their clients.”

Headquartered in Ft. Mill, S.C., San Diego and Boston, LPL Financial supports more than 21,000 financial advisors nationwide.
