BNY Mellon Wealth Management, headquartered in New York City, has appointed Karen Sugihara to the position of regional fiduciary manager, the company announced in a news release.

Sugihara is an industry veteran with three decades of trust and estates experience in private banking. Before joining BNY Mellon, she worked eight years at Wells Fargo, where she served most recently as senior regional fiduciary manager, responsible for overseeing the company’s trust business in Northern California.

In her new role, she will lead the company’s fiduciary business in California, overseeing and managing the delivery of advisory services to the firm’s clientele. She is based in San Francisco and reports to Robert Kricena, president of the West Region. 

Sugihara earned a B.S. degree from the University of California, Riverside, and a JD from Pepperdine University.
